Financial Assistance

Hospital financial assistance can help people and families in Washington pay for hospital services.

Financial assistance is either free or reduced-priced care, depending on your ability and income.

Columbia Basin Hospital and Columbia Basin Family Medicine provide hospital care regardless of ability to pay. You may request an estimate of charges prior to receiving services.

Financial assistance covers medically necessary hospital care, including inpatient and outpatient care. They do not cover transportation costs or care that is not medically necessary, such as cosmetic procedures, and usually do not cover doctors' services.

Who receives financial assistance?

To receive financial assistance, your income level must be within our guidelines.
If your income is within our guidelines, you can get assistance even if you are insured, but the insurance does not cover all the costs of your care.
To receive financial assistance, you cannot be involved in a work-related injury or auto accident or similar situation where someone else has a legal responsibility to pay for the costs of hospital care.
You can receive financial assistance regardless of race; creed; color; national origin; sex; sexual orientation; or the presence of any sensory, mental, or physical disability; or the use of a trained dog guide or service animal by a disabled person.

Assistance in completing a Financial Assistance Application

Any patient may apply to receive financial assistance by submitting an application and providing supporting documentation. You can download the application by clicking on the link on your right. If you have questions or need help, don't hesitate to get in touch with us.
